Biography

Dr. Huda Al Doghaither is a professor in the Biochemistry Department at King Abdulaziz University (KAU) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. With 18 years of academic experience, she has made significant contributions to research, teaching, and quality assurance in higher education.

Dr. Al Doghaither began her career in 2002 as a part-time technician in the Biochemistry Department at KAU. She later served as the laboratory director at Dr. Mohammed Hassan Kafi Polyclinic between 2005 and 2007. In 2007, she transitioned to academia, joining Dar Al-Hekma University as a lecturer in the General Education Department. She was promoted to assistant professor in 2008.

In 2012, she returned to King Abdulaziz University as an assistant professor in the Biochemistry Department. She was promoted to associate professor in 2018 and attained the rank of full professor in 2024. Since 2016, Dr. Al Doghaither has served as the department coordinator for the Program of Evaluation and Quality Assurance of University Performance (EQAUP). She has also been an active member of the department’s National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) committee since 2012. Additionally, since 2015, she has been a mentor in the University Development Diploma Program for university instructors.

Dr. Al Doghaither holds certifications as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt quality specialist and a certified quality practitioner from the NCAAA. She is also an NCAAA-accredited reviewer.

Her research contributions include over 60 published articles and reviews in prestigious Saudi and international ISI-indexed journals, such as Biomed Research International, Oncology Letters, Saudi Journal of Biological Sciences, Saudi Medical Journal, and Annals of Saudi Medicine. She has actively participated in more than 70 conferences and workshops related to her field. In addition to her research, Dr. Al Doghaither serves as a peer reviewer for several international journals and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) research grants.
